Donald McLean (born October 2, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter. He is best known for his 1971 song "American Pie", which was a number-one US hit for four weeks in 1972 and reached #2 in the UK charts. His version of the Roy Orbison composition 'Crying' was a number one hit for him in Holland. Watch the TopPop channel for this recording.
McLean finished a short tour of Holland 2 weeks ago playing venues in Eindoven, Groningen and Utrecht.
Prime Time is the title song from his album, released in December 1977. This TopPop recording was never broadcast.

World famous music artists performed on TopPop: ABBA, 10CC, Bee Gees, The Jacksons, David Bowie, Earth & Fire, Boney M, Smokie, KC & The Sunshine Band, Chic, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, and many many more.
