On 3 Abbey Road in London stands a white rectangular building where many magical moments have occurred—Abbey Road Studios. Founded in 1931 as a classical music recording studio, expanded to jazz and big bands in the '30s and '40s and eventually rock-and-roll in the '50s.

The world-renowned studio is a household name in large part because of the Beatles who named their GRAMMY-nominated 1969 album 'Abbey Road,' the one with the famous crosswalk image, a nod to where most of their music was made. Between 1962 and 1970, the GRAMMY-winning rock icons recorded 190 of their 210 songs there, mostly in Studio 2 with GRAMMY-winning producer Sir George Martin.
