Welcome to Eurovision This Month. This is your update of November 2020.
“The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place no matter what”, that was the message earlier this year when the four scenarios for the upcoming contest were revealed. Now, further details have been announced. To ensure that all participants can take part in the competition every broadcaster will create a ‘live-on-tape’ recording prior to the event which can be used if a participant cannot travel to Rotterdam. You can read more about it on Eurovision.tv
Last week it was also announced that the Semi-Final line-up of last years contest will stay for 2021. Jeangu Macrooy from The Netherlands already knows his starting position in the Grand Final. In March, he was drawn into the 23rd slot, which is now his starting position for 2021.
A lot of countries are announcing more details about their national finals. The first one is set to take place in late December in Albania. We might have even heard the first Eurovision 2021 song already. Victoria from Bulgaria released Ugly Cry, which is one of her potential songs for the Eurovision Song Contest.
This Sunday the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live from Warsaw. The show starts at 17:00 Central European Time. Make sure you don’t miss it!
