Ben Wood & The Bad Ideas decided to put out a single a month for all of 2020. 'One Day I'll Say It' is the band's tenth offering of the year.
The video, which has a Halloween-worthy ending, follows Ben as the protagonist as he chases down a lover while brandishing flowers and angst. It's clear that tonight is the right time for him to 'say it'. What 'it' is, however, remains shrouded in mystery a la Meatloaf's use of the word 'that' in 'I'll do anything for love'.
Filmed entirely on location in Woolwich, South East London - nobody was injured during the making of this promo. Well, actually that isn't true. The band's drummer, who plays the street fundraiser, bruised his bottom during filming. And a random passerby shouted 'f**k this year' loudly upon witnessing Ben's metamorphosis being filmed at the end of the video. She wasn't pleased.
