Davina Michelle "The Power of Water" | Eurovision 2021 Semi-Final 1 Interval Act (INTERVIEW)

The Semi-Final 1 interval act of Eurovision 2021 is called "The Power of Water". It will star Dutch singer Davina Michelle, who wrote the song "Sweet Water" for the occasion. It sends a strong message about unity and connection. "I use water as a metaphor for something that we all need in this world," she tells our Esma in a Zoom interview. "We're all born in different places, we're all from different nations, but there's one thing we all need and that is water."

The Netherlands has a long history with water and wants to showcase this story during Eurovision.
The actress Thekla Reuten (from films like "In Bruges" and "The American") participates in an accompanying video / movie about water and its power. Thekla portrays the force of water and Davina saves the nation from her. "We will interrupt my show with that video, and when the video is over I will finish my act."
