Swedish musician / composer / producer Lukas Lyrestam channels the spirit of 90s house and soul on slick new single ‘Levels of Compassion' released through legendary Brighton based label Skint Records on 4th June.
‘Levels of Compassion' strikes a compelling balance, fusing elements of soulful house, pop and modern electronica with nods to Studio 54 and Paradise Garage.
Lukas says: “I wanted to join the dots between the lost ADATs of 90s NYC and the hypnotic elements of modern 4/4 music, while also tipping my hat to the great crooners of house. Somehow striking a balance between soulful musicality and the grit, sweat and tears of a long night out. As with all good house music, the track is about transcending circumstance and empowering yourself to be who you want to be. An experience that’s both painful and rewarding”.
