Dance Producer CID On His Secret To Remixing, Finding Inspiration In The Unknown | Behind The Board

In the latest episode of Behind The Board, GRAMMY-winning, NYC-based electronic/dance producer and artist CID gives an inside look at his approach to remixing. His first step? Listening for sounds that nobody is hearing and adding other elements no one else can create. It's this studio secret that allows him to remix songs into unexpected club anthems. Case in point: His work on Cedric Gervais’ 2013 multiplatinum hit remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness," which earned CID his first GRAMMY Award. His remixing work has also garnered him a solo GRAMMY nomination for Best Remixed Recording for his remix of “Audio” from pop supergroup LSD at the 61st GRAMMY Awards, which took place in 2019.
