A remake of Everybody Knows song by Leonard Cohen.
Banafsh was always fascinated by Leonard Cohen, even before he started singing. The poetry, the drama, and the sarcasm with occasional proverbial references to the scripture, all in all perfected the fascination. However, this idolization was never part of his artistic world until a few years ago when a beautiful earthling took him to a party and introduced him as “Cohen.” That same year, his son played “Everybody knows” for him and told him “Dad, if you ever want to cover Cohen, this is the song for you.”
Now Banafsh has recorded “Everybody Knows” using his own interpretation of the original song as well as the cover that was beautifully arranged for “Justice League” (the movie).
Finally, the album “Blue Raincoat” is born, which includes remake of over 10 Leonard Cohen songs, and here we are with the first track of the album “Everybody Knows.”
