Something’s Taking Over Me is the new single from critically-acclaimed Northern Irish band Catchers. Songwriter Dale Grundle is joined by old band-mate Alice Lemon and new drummer Roger Luxton for this release, the precursor to a new Catchers' album which is due out in 2022.

2021 Oscar-winning director James Reed (My Octopus Teacher) has teamed up with Catchers to create a stunning video for the track. James Reed : “I’ve been a fan of Catchers since I heard their first single Cotton Dress. I wanted to be a part of this new project as soon as Alice sent me the demo version of Something’s Taking Over Me. When we got into the studio it was clear that my film Jago, A Life Underwater had very similar themes to the song and the Catchers band generally, actually .. and so I was very excited to work with them”

The video for Something’s Taking Over Me highlights the beauty of James Reed's work and compliments the images and themes of the song, drawing the listener into a dark and dream-like world where temptation turns into addiction.
