Today, March 25, 2022, Elton John celebrates his 75th birthday!
We publish this very early and possibly first Elton John tv performance on the continent because of this special day for Elton.
He even described this early Toppop film recording in his book 'I Elton John' as a memory of the paparazzi photographers that were present at the recording of this 16 mm footage, shot on location in the 'Amsterdamse bos' in Amsterdam.

Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, pianist and composer, with a career spanning six decades. Collaborating with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967 on more than 30 albums, John has sold over 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
'Your Song' was his first big hit internationally and his second hit in the Netherlands. It reached no. 10 in the Dutch Top 40 in March 1971. His first hit in the Netherlands was 'Border Song' which was a hit in December 1970 reaching the no. 29 in the Top 40.
