This is poetry, turned into music by the poet himself.
Concise lines, distilled from the must”of chronic /acute daily bitterness, floating on musical electronic bases revealing the genius of Davide Bava, a poet who turns out to also be a producer.
Unexpected samples, fragments of voices and lightning sparks make up the alienating rhythms, sometimes urban and nocturnal, sometimes sultry, swampy, sweaty.
Far away, perhaps played in another more ancient world, the music of Mario Benassai's concrete instruments comes from open windows, from remote courtyards or gardens. Runaway trumpets, ancestral flutes, muffled horns, roaring and obsolete parade instruments. This distant sound is the smell of memories.
Chamber music, is the music we play in the inner room of our havoc. Torment, vicious circles, defeat’s, and maybe regret’s .
