Leroy Kirkland wrote the song cloudburst. He was a behind-the-scenes musician most of the time but contributed to the recordings of such artists as Etta James, Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, The Supremes, and The Five Satins. This song is a tribute to the man who was a band leader and a renowned soul and R&B pioneer.
