Massiel won the Eurovision Song Contest at the Royal Albert Hall in 1968 when her song La La La pipped the United Kingdom’s Cliff Richard to the win by just one point.

The following year, Televisión Española (TVE) hosted the Contest in Madrid where four artists tied for first place: France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Spain’s very own Salomé with Vivo Cantando (‘I Live Singing’).
