🇳🇱 Claude's journey to Eurovision: 'C'est la vie,' family, and moving to The Netherlands | INTERVIEW

Claude — The Netherlands' Eurovision 2025 singer — will perform "C'est la vie" in Semi-Final 1 on 13 May. In our English-language interview, he tells us why he wrote about his mother, who, along with Claude and his siblings, fled the Democratic Republic of Congo when Claude was just nine years old. He couldn't attend school in the DRC, but when he moved to The Netherlands he was suddenly attending school — and in Dutch, a language he did not yet understand.

The "Ladadada" hitmaker (full name Claude Kiambe) also tells us about his live performance on EVA, his Mom's reaction to the song, how S10 encouraged him on his Eurovision journey, and much, much more.
