As guest host of Solid Gold, the songwriter and singer Stevie Wonder introduces Laura Branigan who performs "Hold Me", the second single - after "Spanish Eddie" - from her fourth studio album "Hold Me", released in July 15, 1985 by Atlantic Records.
The single "Hold Me" reached No. 82 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart, No. 79 on the US Cash Box Top 100 Singles and No. 39 on the US Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs Chart.
The song was written by Bill Bodine and Beth Andersen, and produced by Jack White and Harold Faltermeyer. No music video was filmed to promote the single.
