In 1986, UB40 and Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders collaborated on a reggae-infused version of “I Got You Babe”, originally a hit by Sonny & Cher in 1965. The song became an international success, reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and charting in several countries worldwide, including the US, where it peaked at No. 26. Following this success, they teamed up again in 1993 for a cover of “Breakfast in Bed,” originally by Dusty Springfield in 1969. This collaboration charted well in the UK where it hit the top 10, and Europe including Ireland where it peaked at number 6, the Netherlands at number 25 and Germany at number 27. This live-performance is from Dutch tv programme “Cor & Co” and broadcast on December 22, 2000.
