In his heartfelt speech, Toto founding member Steve Porcaro, who said he was "shocked and very grateful" for the GRAMMY win, thanked everybody for supporting the group, including the band's parents for providing them music lessons. He even shouted out his father, legendary jazz drummer Joe Porcaro, who was performing in the GRAMMY orchestra that night.

On the heels of the breakout success of their chart-topping album 'Toto IV,' Los Angeles rock icons Toto dominated the 1983 GRAMMYS. In addition to winning the GRAMMY for Record Of The Year for "Rosanna," the group also won the GRAMMY for Album Of The Year for 'Toto IV' and Producer Of The Year. Collectively, the song and the album garnered six total GRAMMY wins that night.
