Chicago band Friko recently visited The Current to talk to host Zach McCormick about their new album, "Something Worth Waiting For," which released April 24, 2026, on @atorecords.
During the interview, Zach notes the band lean into dynamics in their song arrangements. Friko drummer Bailey Minzenberger talks about the band's fondness for the quiet and loud moments in music. "Leaning into dynamics is something that we've always really loved," Minzenberger says. "And I think to an extent comes kind of naturally because it's the way that we play."
