'Majesty' is the second studio album by Grim Burns released by Extra Music. Its sound differs significantly from his 2021 debut album, 'Dance of A Clown'.
What makes this album different is that it can be described as direct and raw, yet still full of emotion and melodic passages. Another element that sets it apart is its simplicity — but a complex kind of simplicity. Each song tells its own story, yet when all the tracks are brought together, they form one cohesive narrative.
The album consists of 10 songs.
The first four tracks ('You Get Away', 'Awakening', 'Irresistible', and 'Coffee-fueled Money Machine') have a heavier character and undoubtedly deliver a direct hit to the head—especially 'Awakening', which breaks through walls with its sheer sonic power. Following these are songs of a somewhat different nature, yet still connected to the preceding energy. For instance, '5th Kind', 'You're My Love', 'Mother Of Pearl', and 'The Art Of Waiting' carry elements of alternative rock ballads, though they don't quite fall into that category. Again, they feature driving and solid choruses that blend seamlessly with the style and lead melodies of the previous tracks. 'Superstar' is a song with an equally melodic chorus, satirical lyrics, and music perfectly suited to such a theme; it has an upbeat tone. The most unusual track of all is certainly 'Coyote'. It fuses alternative rock with elements of electronic and psychedelic rock, while its spoken-word segments add another dimension to the story being sung or narrated.
