Leonor Andrade was born on the 13th September 1994. Her first contact with music was at the age of four, when she started to play the piano. Now she will represent Portugal at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the song Ha Um Mar Que Nos Separa.

The piano is Leonor’s instrument of choice to compose her songs. She has always sung. The first serious musical experience was when she had her first band, Mariacaffe, a Portuguese rock band, with her brother and two friends.

Later, she realised she really wanted to have a musical career and tried her luck at The Voice of Portugal. She was in Anselmo Ralph’s team and made it to the semifinals.

After The Voice, she kept on working in music, composing her songs and giving some concerts. She also had her first experience as an actress in the RTP series Água de Mar.

Meanwhile, she was invited to participate in Festival da Canção and to give her voice to the song written by Miguel Gameiro. She has always loved Miguel’s work, so she couldn’t be happier. And finally she ended up winning Festival da Canção, which she still can’t believe.
