Malmö, Sweden - It's just one hour before the show and thousands of fans are already at the Malmö Arena, in order to attend the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. There will be at least eleven thousand fans inside during the show. We met some of them in front of Arena.
"I hope that Bonnie Taylor will do well. Vote for the United Kingdom", one fan from UK told us, wearing an outfit with the flag colours of her homeland.
"See you in Brussels next year!" was one of many banners we noticed in the crowd at the entrance of the Malmö Arena. "We hope Belgium will win this year. We are finally in the Final", one of the guys said.
On the way to meet the fans, passing next to the VIP entrance, we noticed Lys Assia, the first Eurovision Song Contest winner (1956) attending the show. "Sure I'm excited. It's a great feeling being part of this event", she said.
Even though there are a lot of flags of the host country Sweden, some of them are going to vote for other participants as well. "We are here to support Robin, but I'm going to vote for Germany, Norway and Belgium as well. They have great songs this year", a Eurovision fan from Sweden stated.
There are also a lot of fans from Finland in the Malmö Arena tonight. "I hope for the best. Vote for Krista", one girl said. She was wearing a wedding dress. When we asked her to share her message with our TV team, she said: "Marry me!". We didn't know whether she was asking us or the fans across Europe. So we didn't reply. Hopefully she didn't mind.
