GRAMMY winner Nile Rodgers was honored with The Recording Academy President's Merit Award at the Producers & Engineers Wing's 8th Annual GRAMMY Week celebration on Feb. 3 in Los Angeles. Artists who were in attendance to honor Rodgers included Everclear's Art Alexakis; GRAMMY-nominated artist/musician Sheila E.; Earth, Wind & Fire's Verdine White; current GRAMMY nominee "Weird Al" Yankovic; and Kathy Sledge, who joined Rodgers and Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea for a performance of Sister Sledge's GRAMMY Hall Of Fame-inducted classic "We Are Family."
