The GRAMMYs took center stage during the music portion of the annual South by Southwest festival taking place March 11--16 in Austin, Texas. The 28th installment of SXSW featured keynote addresses from GRAMMY winners Neil Young and Lady Gaga, and interactive panels and performances by approximately 2,200 regional, national and international artists, among other activities.

The Recording Academy presented and/or participated in several events, including a special showcase featuring the winners of Amplifier Center Stage: A GRAMMY U Initiative. This event featured performances by winners Jessica Faith, Bonavox and Eyango, as well as singers/songwriters Aloe Blacc and Allen Stone.
