GRAMMY Camp is the best summer music program ever. Ask anyone who's been there. Or will.i.am.

You get to spend more than a week living, breathing, eating, drinking music -- with students from all over the country and music industry pros who know how it all works. You'll meet guest artists, write and record new music, visit cool music sites, and finish strong with a final concert in a professional venue. And you'll get really great GRAMMY Camp swag.

Plus -- financial assistance is available for students who need it. And a discounted tuition is available if you want to go to Camp LA and Camp NY.

GRAMMY Camp 2011 has two summer sessions:
GRAMMY Camp LA -- July 9-18 -- USC Campus -- Los Angeles

Seventy-five high school students from all over the country will descend on LA on July 9 for 10 days of total music immersion. GRAMMY Camp LA is hosted by the USC Thornton School of Music where you spend the bulk of your time, including sleeping -- and hopefully showering every day -- in the dorms and eating in the campus cafeteria. Yum.

Each student comes to GRAMMY Camp LA on a specific track: Songwriter, Vocalist, Instrumentalist, Audio Engineer, Electronic Music Production, Music Journalism and Concert Production/Promotion. You work within your tracks and then with the rest of the students to write, record and perform new music. Everybody ends up with an album of the new music, recorded by the engineering track, and a video of the showcase performance -- managed and written by the journalism and concert promotion tracks.
