‘Spectacle: The Music Video’ opens at New York’s Museum Of The Moving Image. Co-sponsored by VEVO, it examines the evolution of music videos while celebrating their impact on popular culture. Curators Jonathan Wells and Meg Grey Wells explain their vision and let viewers know that music videos are an “art form.” This VEVO News profile of the exhibit includes interviews with filmmaker J.T. Helms (Arcade Fire) and director Matt Mahurin (Metallica), who recount their work and how they’ve seen the music video process change through the years. Artists included in the show are Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Radiohead, Beastie Boys, White Stripes, and Gorillaz.
