Green Velvet causes a big stir with his boldly titled single.
"Bigger Than Prince" is classic Green Velvet. Quirky and driving, the track is a celebratory pastiche of sorts; filled with analogue funk, retro synths, pared down percussions and a whole 'lotta groove. The multifaceted talent, also known as Cajmere, crafted the massive record after he was asked to contribute to Yousef's Circus X compilation to commemorate 10 years of Circus events.
"Bigger Than Prince" in fact, lives up to its name. Released alongside remixes by Hot Since 82 and The Martinez Brothers via Circus Recordings in partnership with Armada, the track has quickly become the Ibiza anthem of 2013, as well as the single-most played track during the Amsterdam Dance Event.
