Always a highlight of Coldharbour's release schedule, label favorite Rex Mundi rounds off their appraised summer 2012 output with three tracks which have been arguably the most awaited for quite some time. But we have come to expect this level of quality from Mr. Boy
Hagemann for a while now.
Debuted on Markus Schulz's opening episode of the Global DJ Broadcast Ibiza Summer Sessions season, Bella Monaco immediately became the talk of the trance community; simply because of its exemplification of the beauty we regard to summertime. Perfect for
those early moments in a liveset, or for simply cruising along in your car, Bella Monaco has had quite a cast list of support, with not only Markus declaring it as the official GDJB 2012 summer anthem, but multiple plays from Armin van Buuren on A State of Trance, and Ferry
Corsten on Corsten's Countdown.
As Miami flocked to Space's infamous Terrace to celebrate Markus Schulz's birthday in February, he rewarded them with the first ever play of Mence - a dark, twisted bassline which pointed to the audience that they would be in for a late finish. Much like Bella Monaco, Mence is perfect foil for a set opener or early play, and has also become one of the most requested Global DJ Broadcast tracks throughout the summer.
Last but not least, Steaming Waterfalls will draw comparisons to Opaque (from Rex's previous Coldharbour E.P. release), but with elements that boast the beautiful summer vibe as its companions. All three combined suggest that this may be Rex's biggest Coldharbour
release to date, and when you consider his achievements of the past, that is quite a testament to its quality.
Coldharbour says goodbye to summer 2012 in grand fashion. It has been worth the wait.
