David Forbes makes his new single 'Yasai' burst with diversity, just the way we like it! Riding the tide of music for more than 20 years, is Scotsman David Forbes.
This music junkie has over a hundred releases behind him, but with an endless wave of creativity the ideas keep coming.
Devoted to the rhythm, it didn't take long for him to come up with a worthy follow-up to 'Point Picquet', 'Ko Tapu' and 'Katsu'.
Breathing diversity throughout the full 8 minutes of its bliss, is the stunning 'Yasai'.
David:"I'm always trying to push the boundaries with the various types of music I'm producing". And so he does on 'Yasai'.
He makes it a pounding progressive trancer that truly unfolds itself.
It slowly builds from a melodic and mysterious gentle piece, to a melodic break with several effects joining forces. Eventually, it pays off with heavy synths and throbbing basslines, without losing its melodic power. Alan Nimmo, with who David collaborated for the 'Ko Tapu' and 'Galapagos' E.P., gave 'Yasai' a fine big room punch, giving it the funk and energy of a true peak-timer.
