As part of the 'big three', Ferry Corsten is one of the DJ's that helped building the foundations of trance music. His 'Out Of The Blue' track, immensely popular in the clubs as well as on the regular charts, made trance go from underground to mainstream. Opening doors to big success for both Armin van Buuren and Tiësto, as well as putting Holland on the map as one of dance industry's most influential countries. In mere months, Ferry scored three UK Top 20 hits, with 'Veracocha - Carte Blance', 'Gouryella - Gouryella' and 'Out of The Blue', that now carry the name of trance classics.

In December 1999, a short while after the release of the tracks, a legendary event took place. Ferry Corsten headlined the Innercity event in Amsterdam with a historic set. To many trance lovers, Innercity 1999 is still known as one of the best gigs ever.
