The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is the national selection of Malta to find the song that will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2014.
20 contestants and voices compete in the Semi Final in the venue called Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC). 14 of the songs advance to the Grand Final which takes places on Saturday 08 February 2014. The Winner will get the ticket to Copenhagen to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Team of Radio International is on location interviewing the contestants.
In this clip see the interview with Ryan Paul Abela who is a newcomer to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest though he has Eurovision blood in his veins as his mother is Georgina who together with Paul Giordimaina performed "Could it be" on the the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest in Rome. His father is a composer of several Eurovision Song Contest entries (1996, 2001 and was the conductor in 1992 for the Maltese entry "Little Child" performed by Mary Spiteri.
