Melodifestivalen 2011 took place Saturday 12 March 2011 in the legendary Globen Arena of Stockholm, Sweden with Eric Saade winning the ticket to represent Sweden at the 56th Eurovision Song Contest in May 2011 with the song "Popular" written by Fredrik Kempe.

The Team of Radio International & oikotimes.com were in the arena in front of the stage when the final votes were announced. And after the show some interviews could be done with the competing artists in front of the stage including Eric Saade, Sanna Nielson, Linda Bengtzing, Presenter Marie Serneholt, composer of "Popular" Fredrik Kempe and Mr. Melodifestivalen himself Christer Bjoerkman.

The overall result of the 2011 Melodifestivalen is as follows:
