🌱 The smart soil temperature and humidity sensor from Tuya is a universal assistant for caring for plants at home, in the garden, at the dacha and in the greenhouse. It does not just show data in the app, but also allows you to build smart watering scenarios, monitor the microclimate and fully automate the care of green friends. In this video, I will show how it works, what is the difference, how to connect it to Tuya Smart Wi-Fi or the Zigbee version, how to integrate it into Home Assistant via Tuya, and we will also check the capabilities of ZigBee2MQTT in Home Assistant.
I have long been looking for a compact and functional device for monitoring the condition of the soil. This sensor measures humidity and temperature, sends data to the app and can start automatic watering if you already have a smart timer. In the video, I will show it in action - on a flower pot and in real weather conditions: rain, sun, wind. All this is an ideal stress test!

— automation scenarios (turning on watering, notifications)
