Home Assistant 2026.6 brings a series of improvements that make everyday use of the system noticeably more convenient.

In this video, we'll look at how adding cards to the dashboard has changed, explore the new capabilities of the experimental automation editor, check out live condition indicators, target entity counters, and notes for individual steps. Using a practical example, I'll show how an automation works with all devices in a room at once and automatically takes changes in their location into account.
We'll also look at improvements to media player tiles, source filtering, the updated applications page, quick navigation to related automations, and error highlighting in the YAML editor.
