While down in Atlanta for a few days, filming for SEMA Battle of The Builders Young Guns at FD ATL, I wanted to squeeze in a few minutes with a car to shoot another simple all handheld style short. My friend Leo hooked up me with his boy @NotWoke from the area to do just that. They knew of this fair in town not to far from where I was staying so we met up there and asked the locals if we could park the car near one of the rides and film a little. They were nice enough to let us do just that for a short while before they shut down for the night. I used my Gemini to capture this fully hand held short shot in 48 and 60fps. I really like working with reflections of light on cars in shorts like this flowing over and through body lines of the cars and I will continue to focus on that as a running theme in these shorts. Keeping the camera close to my body allowing for smoother movements and stability partner with some post stabilization with FCPX built in stabilizer I was able to put together this short video. When traveling to new places I am going to try to always make a short like this with local cars so I can almost create a handheld memory book of all the places I've been. Hope you guys enjoy.
