Why The Mandalorian SHOULDN'T Connect With The Sequel Trilogy
Subscribe: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-CBR
So far, The Mandalorian is shaping out to be the best live-action Star Wars story since Return of the Jedi. The show is giving fans exactly what they want and need. Not only do we get to explore the Mandalorian culture, but we witness a fascinating story about a lore warrior who must protect his surrogate child. Who now we know is called Grogu. We also get to see the continuation of Dave Filoni’s story from both Clone Wars and Rebels, as characters like Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan Kryze are making their transition from animation to live-action. And now we know that sooner or later the best Star Wars villain, Grand Admiral Thrawn will also show up on the show.
With the upcoming battle with Moff Gideon and a possible clash with Mando’s own Children of the Watch, the show won’t get boring anytime soon.
While there is a lot of speculation about what the future holds for the show, one thing is for sure, it’s best for the Mandalorian to stay in it’s own bubble, far away from the Disney trilogy.
There is a lot of negativity for the new Star Wars movies. The fans are extremely divided about it, and it won’t be wise to try and connect this amazing show to a story that clearly didn’t stick the landing.
Why try to shoehorn Mando’s and Baby Yoda’s story into the new trilogy, when you can tell a separate story that will allow the show to be its own thing.
