Finally, the Merc with the Mouth is coming to the MCU! If you don’t recognize the nickname then let me rephrase and say that Deadpool is on his way! In recent news we’ve learned that Ryan Reynolds, along with the Molyneux sisters, are currently in the process of penning the third film in the Deadpool Trilogy. As fans, we have a lot to be excited about but a huge question to ask is how will this work?

Deadpool doesn’t really fit into the MCU as each of his films have been R, compared to the common PG-13 that the MCU sticks to. There is also the problem of inserting Deadpool into a world where he doesn’t exist quite yet. The solution to that may lie in Doctor Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness, but we have another theory. What if Deadpool is plucked from his universe and thrown into the MCU not because of the multiverse, but because of the Fox/Disney merger. He’s here now because the script says he is and that’s that. How’s that for breaking the fourth wall huh? However, now that he’s in the MCU how will he interact and mesh with the Avengers? Will he become a hero, or be a thorn in their side?
