Thanos Was Lurking In The MCU Since Phase 1

The MCU changed the game with Avengers: Infinity War. They introduced big screen fans to one of the greatest comic book villains of all time, Thanos! This intergalactic conqueror from the mind of Jim Starlin went on to become a cinematic villain worthy of standing side by side with the likes of Darth Vader, Hannibal Lecter and Lord Voldemort.
The only problem with Thanos? There’s not enough Thanos!
Yes, unfortunately after two major appearances in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, it seems as though our favorite MCU villain is done terrorizing the Earth. If it wasn’t clear enough, Endgame actually took the time to end the Mad Titan’s life twice because once didn’t quite cut it.
What if I could tell you that Thanos appeared in the MCU much much earlier than you think he did? What if he was not only the big villain of the Infinity Saga but the first villain as well? That’s right, I’m saying that there’s a good chance that Thanos was secretly Obadiah Stane!
We’ll comb through the evidence around both characters and their connections to each other. There are some moments where they seem to think exactly the same, look the same or interact with other characters in the same way. Then we’ll try to figure out what Thanos’s original plan was all along before the Avengers ruined everything.
So let’s dive right in! Here’s where Thanos was hiding in Phase 1 of the MCU!
