The Dragon Ball franchise has some of the best characters in anime history. Fans never get tired of watching Goku save the galaxy by destroying bad guys with a new form or move that he’s mastered. We also love when he teams up with Vegeta to put the hurt on enemies as he tries desperately to overtake Goku’s power. That being said, there are some characters out there who don’t quite get the attention that they deserve.

In the original Dragon Ball anime, the bar was significantly lower. Back then, the characters weren’t quite at god-level. So scrappy thieves and bald martial artists could easily stand toe-to-toe with someone like the young Goku.

Then Dragon Ball Z came around and introduced a whole new level of power. This raising of the bar left many of the characters out in the cold. Fighters who used to stand side-by-side with Goku against the forces of evil suddenly found themselves as outdated as an old cellphone. Unfortunately, that problem would only get worse.

Dragon Ball Super rose the power-level bar pretty much as far as it could go. Goku and Vegeta now have super saiyan god powers that make most other fighters in the series seem incredibly weak. Then Goku will ascend to an even higher level, furthering the problem.

This is a real shame because there are quite a few heroes and villains who are bursting with potential! Here are 10 Dragon Ball Characters whose powers often get overlooked!
