Amazon’s The Boys is a massive hit and shows a dangerous side of superheroes that we’re not used to. The show follows a group of vigilantes led by Billy Butcher as they take on an evil superhero team called The Seven, who’s led by the twisted and merciless Homelander. To the outside world, Homelander is the perfect hero. He’s good-looking, seemingly kind and possesses an amazing assortment of superpowers that he uses to keep the world safe. But we all know the truth. Homelander is actually a psychopath who isn’t afraid to use his powers to get what he wants. And because Homelander is so powerful and is such an obvious stand-in for Superman, one question keeps coming up. Could Homelander beat Superman in a fight?
We think a Homelander vs. Superman fight is what the world desperately wants to see because both heroes are similar in a lot of ways. They both have incredibly super strength, speed, flight, heat vision and super hearing and other amazing gifts, but which hero would come out on top? Would Superman’s values and sense of morality help him beat Homelander in a fight? Or would it ultimately be a weakness? Would Homelander’s hubris and insecurities make him easy prey for Superman? Or would it only make him more dangerous? How would Vought International and Lois Lane factor into the fight? Those are the questions this video is answering today.
