The Dragon Ball series is amazing and seems to only get better with each new spinoff that gets dropped our way. We’ve seen Goku put a serious hurt on bad guys from one end of the galaxy to the other but it just isn’t quite as satisfying if it doesn’t have that special something that fans have loved since the classic Dragon Ball Z days.
The Saiyan transformations have become one of the main staples of the franchise. From the first time we saw Goku rise out of the water and change his hair color so he could beat up Frieza, we’ve been hooked on seeing what new form Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and the other Saiyans would throw our way.
We’ve seen several different forms of Super Saiyan since that day. Each one has offered a much bigger power level and a much bigger sense of epic scale.
Dragon Ball Super had quite the challenge when it followed the beloved Dragon Ball Z. Akira Toriyama knew that he would have to throw a new form our way so we got to see Goku rise to new levels that he would of course surpass over the series. If that wasn’t enough, we’ve met other Saiyans who have transformations that dwarf even what Goku has to offer.
The franchise is likely to continue for years to come which means that they are probably just getting started with the cool Saiyan forms!
