The MCU Could Just Be One Big Program

Thanos really reshaped the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not just by snapping half of the universe out of existence and then having it snap back, but in creating heroes so desperate to undo what he did that they went back in time and started messing with stuff. With the Avengers skipping through time and revisiting their greatest hits there have been some snags. A new timeline with a Loki that escaped New York exists. There’s apparently a very angry and powerful Wanda who is going to try and get her Steve Rogers dance with her love ending which is set to create even more havoc. What if all of this chaos is only possible because the entirety of the MCU is a simulation? What if the operators of that simulation are beings like the Beyonder, and characters like the Masters of the Mystical Arts such as Doctor Strange or even Doctor Doom have to save the simulation from the Beyonders shutting it down, leading the MCU towards Secret Wars being its big end-saga event? What would it take? Well, maybe a computer made by creating several spheres around a star called a Matrioshka Brain. And it might just be a way for something that’s growing in complexity like the MCU to reset itself after twenty years of a shared universe. This could not only allow them to stabilize new characters like the Mutants or Fantastic Four, but also shore up characters that have been lost in the muddying of the universe like Daredevil or the Runaways and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Let’s take a look at how it would play out.
