The Kages Don’t Run The Ninja World Very Well

In the world of Naruto, the villages are run by the Kage. Meaning Shadow, there are five kage in all; the Hokage, the Mizukage, the Kazekage, Raikage and Tsuchikage. These five individuals rule over their villages and look over everything from ninja deployment and the day to day going on of their village. And none of it makes any real sense when you get right down to it. Yes, in a world where ninjas can spew fire from their face holes, it is the government structure that breaks all immersion in this anime, about fantasy magic ninjas with super powers.
To put it bluntly, the Kage system does not make any sense. None of it does. From how they are elected to what they do to who they are, there is literally no consistency when it comes to the Kage. Who gets to be one? Well whoever is the strongest I guess? Why? Who knows, are you going to argue or disagree with the most powerful ninja around. Might does not make right in a civilized society, which this one is claiming to be, yet, we have Kage who are where they are simply because of their power. That is just one of the major flaws in the Kage system, and in today’s video we will be looking at the rest of them. Be sure to wait until the end of the video to let us know which aspect made the least sense to you.
