Dragon Ball is one of the greatest anime franchises out there. Part of the reason why it has stood the test of time is its fascinating world.
It features all sorts of interesting creatures and artifacts. From dragon balls to eternal dragons, to lords of destruction, the Dragon Ball universe is littered with all sorts of fascinating details.
One of the most interesting things in the universe is the concept of Senzu beans. They are used to resuscitate fighters who have been beaten horribly. Once they eat the small bean, they are revived back to fighting shape.
While the beans are used throughout every show in the series, there is still a lot about them that most fans don’t know about. We’ve seen them miraculously heal horrible injuries, but apparently not to the extent that they are capable. They also have extreme nutritional value that could basically cure world hunger if they weren’t so hard to grow.
Though that is the problem with Senzu Beans. While they are certainly in the highest order of all beans, they are in no way plentiful. Often there is a shortage of them just when our heroes need them most. Also, they may be able to cure injuries that occur during a confrontation with enemies, they are not a viable form of medicine. There are several diseases and ailments that they have no effect on.
