Just about everyone grew up wanting to be from a galaxy far far away swinging lightsabers and flying spaceships through asteroid fields with their trusty friend Chewbacca. Or they wanted to be Chewbacca. Or Han Solo. Or Luke Skywalker. Or Princess Leia. Or maybe you grew up on the prequels and wanted to be a pre-darkside Anakin or Amandala or young Obi Wan Kenobi. Young kinds now might be dreaming of being Rey or Finn or Poe Dameron. Either way, what fan wouldn’t like to add a role in Star Wars to their life experiences? Jedi, Sith, Wookie, X-Wing or TIE fighter pilots, or just a patron at the Cantina in Mos Esley on Tatooine, whatever the role it’d be a dream come true for most. But it comes at a cost. There are some rules and expectations that come with being an actor in a Star Wars movie. Whether it’s hours in the make-up chair or the long hours in the Tunisian sun, being a hero or villain from a galaxy far far away has its demands. Beyond just the regular demands of promoting a movie or sitting through long says on the set, there are also extra demands that go with being part of an alien world as well as the pressure of portraying new chapters of one of the most beloved franchises in history.
