Even though Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame made us happier than a kid on Christmas, not everything in the two movies were perfect. There was one huge problem and that was the depiction of Thanos’s Black Order, his group of evil henchmen that he sends to do his bidding rather than get his hands dirty himself. In the comics, these characters were well-developed and could inspire a level of fear within most heroes. The movies though did these characters a gross disservice by having them as basically cardboard cutouts without personality.
And hey, we get it. This was a movie about Thanos and the Avengers and there just wasn’t time to develop the Black Order in a meaningful way. We’re not complaining too much. If we had the choice of fleshing out the Black Order’s backstory or having more awesome moments like Iron Man and Doctor Strange bickering about whose goatee is better, we’re going to pick the latter! But that just means some really important backstory about the Black Order was left on the cutting room floor. Like did you know there was originally five members of the group and one of them was a telepath named SuperGiant? What the heck happened to her and why did Marvel decide to leave her out?
Today’s video is all about the Black Order, meaning it’s comparing the comic Black Order to the MCU’s Black Order and let’s just say the two teams were extremely different. So take a look at the video below and be sure to leave a comment after you’re done or else Thanos might send his henchmen after you!
