Could Doctor Strange Have Stopped Thanos From Causing Chaos In Marvel Avengers Infinity War And Endgame?

Doctor Strange might have a bit of an ego and he’s definitely not the easiest guy to be around, but at the end of the day, he’s a superhero and, as a superhero, he needs to make some tough decision every now and then. You know, like deciding not to stop Thanos from collecting all 6 Infinity Stones and wiping out half of all life in the universe. Yup, it turns out that Doctor Strange could’ve prevented the snap and we’ll let you know how.

Why do we think Doctor Strange could’ve prevented the decimation? Well, in Avengers: Infinity War, our heroes came so close to taking the Infinity Gauntlet off of Thanos while Doctor Strange was using the Time Stone to look into the future. If he was helping our heroes out instead of looking into the future, there’s a good chance the gauntlet would’ve came off the Mad Titan, but that wasn’t part of his master plan. In only one of the 14,000,605 futures Doctor Strange looked at were out heroes victorious and, in that future, Thanos had to cause the decimation and he had to snap his fingers a second time to destroy all the Infinity Stones, and we’ll tell you why.
