When we met the Ancient One in the movie Doctor Strange, she was initially portrayed as a very old and wise being who had completely mastered the mystic arts and, while some of that was definitely true, we learned she wasn’t totally infallible and, in fact, had made some pretty shocking decisions including taking power from the Dark Dimension. Although it was sad when she perished, we did get to see her again in Avengers: Endgame, but did her appearance expose a major plot hole in the movie? Today, we’re going to be talking about some things that nobody realized about this character, including that she may not have been as all-knowing as we thought. This could also have some serious implications for the new Sorcerer Supreme.
Most of us assume Bruce Banner is a good guy and he seems downright cheery when he’s Professor Hulk, but when you look at their conversation a little bit more closely, it’s clear there was some serious moral ambiguity going on at best and something insidious at worst. Did this good guy do something shocking in order to obtain the Time Stone?
