2016’s Doctor Strange was a pretty fun movie. While it wasn’t as successful or well received as some of the recent Marvel Cinematic Universe films, the movie served as our introduction to the mystical part of the MCU and it also set up the concept of magic, the multiverse, time travel and much more.
Doctor Strange’s role in Avengers Infinity War was crucial. As the protector of the time stone, he was the prime target of the Mad Titan, Thanos. When Doctor Strange used the time stone, we observed millions of possible futures and the one perfect outcome he saw came true in Avengers Endgame, but it claimed the lives of both Iron Man and Black Widow.
While it’s been some time since the first film, and almost a whole decade within the MCU timeline following the five-year time jump in Endgame, Doctor Strange 2 has a lot of promise. Dormammu is still lurking around and the destruction of the time stone could put Earth in serious danger. Also, we must not forget Karl Mordo and his crusade against other sorcerers.
Doctor Strange played with some elements from the comics, but it also left a lot to be desired. Doctor Strange in the comic books has many great and fascinating stories, and hopefully the sequel will dive into more of that. We hope to see more dimensions, more magic users, like Clea, and more villains, like Nightmare. Doctor Strange 2 has a lot of potential and, in this video, we’ll talk about all of that.
