Everyone knows that it took actor Chris Hemsworth some time to find his stride when it comes to portraying the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it seems like, as soon as we got him in Thor: Ragnarok, we lost him in Avengers: Endgame when he took off with the Guardians of the Galaxy, or should we say the Asgardians of the Galaxy? But now we know Thor 4 is on the docket, directed by none other than Taika Waititi himself. Not only can we look forward to seeing Love and Thunder, but we know Natalie Portman will be reprising her role as Jane Foster. Although she was missing from the past few movies, she’s back and wielding her ex-boyfriend’s legendary hammer Mjolnir. Huh?
We’ll talk about the comic book precedent for this monumental event and what role the weapon will likely play in the film. Could it be used to defend New Asgard? We last left this place with Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie in charge and we can’t help but wonder how she’ll get along with its potential new hero.
