In the movie trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, we saw Quentin Beck, better known as Mysterio, show up claiming to be from another Earth separate and different from the main one we’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Could using the Quantum Realm for time travel in Avengers: Infinity War have really created multiple universes in our humble MCU?

This can be a confusing concept as these universes spread over the comic books and have been extolled by other studios including Sony. If you felt confused by their movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, we’ll explain who Miles Morales is and whether or not he exists in the same universe as Peter Parker. We’ll talk about the Marvel multiverse and how it’s guarded by a hero called Captain Britain and a legion of heroes using the same name from a staggering number of different universes. We’ll also talk about the Earth-616 Easter egg that occasionally pops up on the big screen and explain its significance in the grand scheme of things.

We know all of these different dimensions can be more than a little bit confusing.
